St. Mark's Lutheran Church
Middle LaHave, Nova Scotia, Canada
Above is St. Mark's as it looked while still operating as a church up until 2005. The first picture below is how it looked when it was first built. The second picture below is how it looked after the renovations were completed in 2011 following the sale of the building, and the 3rd picture an aerial view in 2023.
The building was sold a few years after it closed and it is now known as St. Mark's Place and is a venue for concerts, weddings and other functions. It has a web site and a FaceBook site. As of 2023, the building has been placed on the market for sale again.
Shortly after the church closed in 2005 I created a web site to preserve some pictures and history of the building not knowing what would eventually happen to it. Web hosting costs on the original site had increased substantially so it was necessary to take it down. I thought about putting it back up on Weebly which is free hosting but it would have been a big job to completely rebuild the over 60 pages in the site. So it was much easier to "package" the original web site in a Zip file which you may download and install on your computer. It will then run in your browser like a normal web site (except that it is on your computer, not out on the Internet). [Note ... the file was last revised in May 2021 with some updates to the minister pages.]
